So my friends and I went to Cheongsong for their apple festival because our school director cornered us into going. It was a two-day festival, but honestly, it should have just lasted for 2 hours. The festival itself was not the greatest thing but I had a great time strictly because of the people I was with. Don’t get me wrong, I was extremely grateful that it was free for foreigners and they provided us with a place to stay; but dddddaaaaammmmmnnnn it was a long-ass day! It took us an hour to see and do everything so the rest of the time we had nothing else to do.
We got to the festival around 12 and we couldn’t leave until 8 or 9 pm and because we had nothing else to do we took out the alcohol that we brought, found a corner, drank and had existential life conversations. In the morning we thought we would wake up, get lunch and then come back to Seoul..but le sigh…’twas not the case. We didn’t get to Seoul until 9 pm. Whilst I was struggling in this town one of my friends texted me and told me she had an extra ticket to go and see Gallant. I ended up missing a free concert and basically, I’m salty. I’m ssssaaallltttyyyy ya’ll.
Cheongsong-gun is located in the eastern region of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province in Korea and is 3-4 hours outside of Seoul. It’s actually a really beautiful place but that festival dragged on for wwaaayyy too long. There are a lot of things to do at Cheongsong but we were restricted to this one thing, so I do recommend you go and visit.
